BYU’s Sabrina Davis Named WCC Player of the Week

Junior posted a pair of shutouts for BYU

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Brigham Young junior goalkeeper Sabrina Davis has been named the West Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
 
Davis led the Cougars to back-to-back shutouts against San Francisco and No. 6 Santa Clara to lead BYU to the WCC’s NCAA Tournament automatic bid and at least a share of the conference title. She ended the week with eight saves and zero goals against in 180 minutes of action.
 
Against San Francisco, Davis posted four saves to earn the clean sheet before coming out Saturday against No. 6 Santa Clara with another four-save shutout effort, including a save on a penalty kick attempt in the 55th minute.
