SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has named its Women's Basketball Player of the Week for January 5, 2015.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - LAUREN NICHOLSON, JR., G - SAINT MARY'S
Junior guard Lauren Nicholson had two big games in helping Saint Mary's improve to 4-0 in West Coast Conference action. Her top game of the week came against LMU as she poured in a career-high 29 points on 12-of-17 shooting. Her total included the game-winning free-throw with 2.6 seconds remaining and the score tied. Nicholson was also efficient in the win over Pepperdine scoring a game-high 21 points.
For the week, Nicholson averaged 25.0 ppg (19-of-31 from the field, 61.3 percent), converted 6-of-13 from three-point range, added eight rebounds (4.0 rpg), four assists and four steals.
