SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Brigham Young senior forward Elise Flake has been named the West Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Flake recorded two goals and two assists in a pair of BYU wins against Gonzaga and LMU that led the Cougars to their second-consecutive WCC championship. In the mid-week matchup against Gonzaga, Flake assisted on the first and third goals of a 3-0 win while also scoring the second goal. In the 8-1 season-ending victory against LMU, Flake scored the opening goal in the fourth minute to begin the offensive onslaught.
She becomes the third Cougar to earn a WCC Player of the Week nod this season.
