SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its University Credit Union Women’s Basketball Player and Freshman of the Week for December 28, 2020. 
  
UCU #WCCHOOPS  PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ABBY RATHBUN, JR., F – SAN FRANCISCO
Junior forward Abby Rathbun went off in the Dons lopsided road win over Sacramento State last week saw USF break seven single-game records.  The native of Moses Lake, Wash., recorded a career-high 22 points in the historic win, going 10-for-13 from the field, while grabbing six rebounds, and dishing out one assist. The 10 field goals were also a career-best.  In the opening quarter, Rathbun scored nine points going a perfect 4-for-4 as USF set the tempo scoring a program-best 34 points in the period.

UCU #WCCHOOPS  FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – IOANNA KRIMILI, FR., G – SAN FRANCISCO
Freshman guard Ioanna Krimili recorded her first career double-double in the Dons historic win over Sacramento State last week.  She finished with 13 points and a career-best 11 assists.  The 11 assists led the Dons who finished the game with a program single-game record 36. A record that was set on Dec. 5. 1980. Krimili was also 6-for-10 for the field and grabbed six rebounds, she also added two blocks and two steals. 
 
It is the third freshman of the week honor for Krimili this season. The Greek native was featured in a recent “Zaloumis Zoom”. WATCH
