SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its University Credit Union Women’s Basketball Player and Freshman of the Week for December 7, 2020.
UCU #WCCHOOPS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ALEX FOWLER, SO., F – PORTLAND
Sophomore forward Alex Fowler averaged 16 points per game, including a 20-point performance during a win over Seattle U, as the Pilots split their two non-conference games at the Chiles Center. The forward netted 12 against the No. 9 Oregon Ducks on Monday night, and she followed that with her first 20-point game of the season against the Redhawks on Sunday. 14 of those points came in the second half as the Pilots prevailed, and she made all five of her field goal attempts after the break. She shot 7-for-13 overall, connected on all six of her free throws, and added six rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

UCU #WCCHOOPS FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – IOANNA KRIMILI, G – SAN FRANCISCO
Freshman point guard Ioanna Krimili went off against the 17
th ranked Oregon State Beaver. Krimili finished with a game-high 27 points while shooting .700 percent from the field. Krimili went 7-for-10 from long range and helped the Dons build a halftime lead against the Beavers. It was her second 20-point game this season and the second time she’s made six or more 3-point field goals in a contest.
