SAN MATEO, Calif. – San Francisco’s Jamaree Bouyea was named the WCC Player of the Week while Gonzaga’s Chet Holmgren snagged his fourth WCC Freshman of the Week honor.

Jamaree Bouyea put together another incredible performance on the hardwood as the fifth year guard helped the Dons to a 21-point win over UNLV on Dec. 4. In the victory over the Runnin' Rebels, Bouyea finished with a season-high 30 points, which included tying the program record with eight made 3-pointers. Overall, the Seaside native finished 11-of-16 from the floor and 8-of-10 from distance while also adding four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal. Through nine games, Bouyea ranks first in the WCC in made field goals (63), first in field goal attempts (116), second in points per game (19.2 ppg) and total points (173).

#WCCSPORTS FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – CHET HOLMGREN, FR., C – GONZAGA
For the fourth time in four weeks, Gonzaga’s Chet Holmgren has been named the WCC Freshman of the Week. He led the Zags to a 64-55 win against Tarleton State with 15 points on 6 of 7 shooting while adding 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. In Gonzaga’s loss to No. 16 Alabama, Holmgren posted a double-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. For the week, he averaged 12.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocks.
