WCC Unveils 2020-21 Women’s Basketball All-Academic Team

BYU’s Sara Hamson & Portland’s Maddie Muhlheim earn third first team All-Academic selections

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2020-21 West Coast Conference Women's Basketball All-Academic Team. The list is highlighted by four student-athletes making repeat all-academic team appearances.

BYU’s Sara Hamson, a two-time WCC Defensive Player of the Year, earned her third and final selection to the all-academic first team. Portland’s Maddie Muhlheim also earned a spot on the first team for the third time and wrapped four seasons on the Bluff with 227 career 3-pointers. Santa Clara’s Ashlynn Herlihy and San Diego’s Myah Pace both make their second straight appearance on the first team.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
