SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Women’s Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for September 27, 2021.
#WCCSPORTS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KELSEY OYLER, FR., F – GONZAGA
Gonzaga broke the program record with its eighth straight victory Saturday over Omaha. Freshman forward Kelsey Oyler's game-winning goal in the 65th minute was the decider. Oyler curled in a shot to the far post for her fourth goal of the season.
It is the first WCC weekly honor of the season for Oyler and the second for the Zags this season.
Kate Doyle collected week one accolades for Gonzaga.

#WCCSPORTS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MOLLY EBY, JR., GK – SAN FRANCISCO
Helping the Dons to one of their most historic wins in program history, junior goalkeeper Molly Eby logged eight saves in USF's 2-0 upset win over No. 19 Santa Clara. Taking down the defending national champs, the Dons defeated the Broncos at home for the first-time ever and only the second time in history.
Individually, Eby's eight saves marked her second-most in a match this season. Notably, it was also her second shutout so far this fall.
It is the first WCC weekly honor for the Dons this season.
