SAN MATEO, Calif. – For the sixth time this season, LMU’s Jenna Perez took home WCC Pitcher of the Week accolades, while Santa Clara’s Ashley Trierweiler was tabbed WCC Player of the Week for the second time this season.

#WCCSPORTS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ASHLEY TRIERWEILER, SO., OF/INF – SCU
Trierweiler went 6-for-9, scored five times, drove in two runs and stole three bases to help the Broncos garner a series win over Saint Mary's last weekend. She reached base nine times and had a slash line of .667/.750/.667. In the sixth inning of Saturday's series opener, she drove in a run as part of a four-run inning to give the Broncos a 6-3 win. She went 3-for-3 in the game and scored three times. In Sunday's rubber match, Trierweiler went 2-for-3, jump starting the Bronco offense in the bottom of the first with a leadoff walk, stole second before coming home to score the first run of the game. That was the only run the Broncos needed as they won, 7-0, to take the series. Trierweiler was previously named WCC Player of the Week on March 21. She has won both of the Broncos' WCC weekly awards this season.

#WCCSPORTS PITCHER OF THE WEEK – JENNA PEREZ, SO. – LMU
Perez notched a no-hitter and finished the weekend with a clean 0.00 ERA in four games, including earning wins in all three games during the sweep over Pacific, including two complete-game performances. The standout pitcher also tied her career high for single-game strikeouts with 14 during Friday’s no-hitter. She followed that with 13 strikeouts in the series finale on Sunday. Perez has now won this award the last two weeks and in three of the last four weeks.
