In the latest NET rankings, the WCC is the only non-Power 5 Conference to boast two teams in the top 12 with Saint Mary's coming in at No. 8 and Gonzaga at 12. Among the nation's conferences, the WCC ranks eighth. In the KenPom rankings, the WCC ranks ninth among the conferences.

Gonzaga heads to BYU this week hoping to extend its nine-game winning streak. They meet on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. PT on ESPN. After beating Kentucky and Alabama when both teams were ranked No. 4 in the country at the time of those contests, Gonzaga boasts the nation's No. 6 strength of schedule.

Following the battle in Provo, the Zags will attempt to increase their 74-game home winning streak against Portland on Saturday at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. The Bulldogs rank sixth in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 85.9 points per game.

Receiving votes once again in both national polls, Saint Mary's maintains its nationally seventh-ranked scoring defense, allowing just 57.4 ppg. SMC has held nine of its opponents to fewer than 60 points this season. Most recently, the Gaels held Portland to 43 points in an 85-43 Saint Mary's win last week. Alex Ducas ranks 19th in the nation in three-point shooting (45.36). Saint Mary's hosts LMU on Thursday at 6 p.m. on CBS Sports Network before heading across the Bay Bridge to face San Francisco on Saturday at 8 p.m. on NBC Sports Bay Area.

Santa Clara has won six of its last eight, and the two losses were narrow defeats against Saint Mary's (67-64) and Gonzaga (81-76). Brandin Podziemski remains one of the league's top players at both ends of the court, ranking second in the WCC in steals (2.1 spg), and third in rebounds per game (8.5 rpg) and scoring (18.7 ppg). The Broncos head to Pacific on Saturday to face a Tigers team that has won six of its last seven games, including the last three in a row. They'll meet at 6 p.m. on NBC Sports California.

Fourth in the league in scoring at 18.0 ppg, Cam Shelton continues to lead the charge for LMU. Against the Dons last Saturday, Shelton posted 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists. He also notched six steals, the fourth WCC player to collect a league-best six steals this season.

Winners of eight of its last nine, BYU ranks 20th in the nation in rebounds per game at 40.11 rpg. In a 20-point win over San Diego last Saturday, the BYU bench outscored the USD bench, 29-0, led by 13 points from transfer Rudi Williams. 

Behind 21 points from Tyrell Roberts, San Francisco picked up its first conference win of the season, edging LMU, 72-70, on the road. The Dons, who just came up short against Gonzaga last Thursday on The Hilltop open the week on the road at Portland at 8 p.m. on ESPNU. Khalil Shabazz ranks fifth in the WCC in scoring at 15.2 ppg.

Pacific leads the WCC with six wins in road games (6-2). Luke Avdalovic continues to pace the WCC in three-point shooting with an average of 58.4 percent. In the last seven games, Avdalovic is shooting 58.8 percent (20-for-34). In its 80-75 win over Pepperdine last week, Judson Martindale just missed a double-double, posting 19 points and eight rebounds.
