SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Some of the nation’s most skilled men's water polo athletes will compete at Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool in Malibu, Calif., this Friday, Nov. 17 through Sunday, Nov. 19, for the 2023 West Coast Conference Men's Water Polo Tournament.
The WCC Tournament will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The quarterfinals, semifinals, championship game, and the awards ceremony will be streamed live on
ESPN+.
Spectator parking will be available in the Firestone Fieldhouse parking lot. Be advised that classes are in session during games played on Friday. Please plan accordingly with parking challenges. Spectators are encouraged to come early to give ample time to find a parking spot.
The weather is forcased to be high 60's to low 70's throughout the tournament with high chance of rain on Friday and Saturday. Please be advised that use of umbrellas is prohibited from the Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool bleachers.

The Conference has three programs represented in the Top 15 of the Collegiate Water Polo Association poll and six on the overall Top 20. Pepperdine is the highest-ranked program in the WCC tied sixth in the country this week. LMU is 12th in the NCAA while San Jose State sits 14th. California Baptist and Pacific are 16th and 17th, respectively, while Santa Clara is tied 18th in the rankings. Air Force is also getting national recognition receiving votes in this week's national poll.
In the last weekend of competition during the regular season, four teams were in contention for at least a share of the WCC regular season championship title in Pepperdine, LMU, San Jose State, and California Baptist. The Waves would be the first to clinch at least a share last Friday. The win also solidified their top seed in the WCC Tournament. LMU would also secure a share of the regular season title and named WCC regular season co-champions on Sunday.
Top seeded Pepperdine is riding a three-game win streak, including win over No. 5 UC Irvine on Sunday. The Waves will play their first game of the WCC Tournament on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. PT.
Second-seeded LMU opens the the WCC Men's Water Polo Tournament against seventh-seeded Air Force on Friday at 10:00 a.m. PT. LMU has won six of their last seven contests.
Third seeded San Jose State will follow the Lions' contest on Friday and play against sixth-seeded Pacific at 12:00 p.m. PT. The Spartans have won five of their last six games and are the only team to defeat Pepperdine in Conference play.
Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Coach of the Year, and WCC All-Conference Teams will be announced on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 10:00 a.m. PT.
