SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Yvonne Ejim of Gonzaga and Dyani Ananiev of Portland are the Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday. Ejim was voted the Conference's Player of the Week, while Ananiev was voted the league's Freshman of the Week.
CREDIT UNION 1 WCC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – YVONNE EJIM, SR., F – GONZAGA
Yvonne Ejim averaged 25 points this week highlighted by a 25-point performance over No. 3 Stanford to lead the Zags to the 96-78 upset. She also collected 23 points in GU's 82-80 win over Eastern Washington, recording back-to-back doubles to help the Bulldogs go 2-0 on the week. Ejim grabbed 12 rebounds against the Cardinal and pulled down 10 boards at Eastern Washington. This is the second consecutive week that Ejim has won WCC Player of the Week.

CREDIT UNION 1 WCC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – DYANI ANANIEV, F – PORTLAND
Dyani Ananiev averaged 16.5 points across two games for the Pilots, leading Portland in scoring in both contests. Ananiev scored a team-high 18 points in Portland's comeback win over Montana State and had 15 points in its dominant 31-point win over Oregon. The win over the Ducks is the largest over any Pac-12 team ever in program history. Ananiev also secured five steals and four blocks across both games. The freshman shot 68 percent from the field and 58 percent from behind the three-point line. Ananiev is the first Pilot true freshman to score at least 10 points in five games since Emme Shearer in the 2020-21 season. This is the third-straight week Ananiev has been voted Freshman of the Week.
