Stu Jackson Named To NCAA Men's Basketball Oversight Committee

Jackson has held numerous board positions throughout his distinguished career

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - West Coast Conference Commissioner Stu Jackson has been named a member of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee. Jackson’s appointment began in July and continues through June of 2027.
 
“I’m excited and honored to be selected to the Division I Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee,” Jackson said. “I’m looking forward to this opportunity to be a part of an influential committee dedicated to the advancement of men’s basketball. I’m proud to represent the West Coast Conference as a flag bearer for one of the NCAA's best men's basketball conferences.”
 
The Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee supervises qualifications and selection procedures for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. The committee reviews recommendations from the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee and process other issues related to the administration of the championship. The committee also provides direction to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Rules Committee regarding playing rules. 
 
Jackson previously served as the Chairman of the NBA Competition Committee and on the boards for the Basketball Hall of Fame Trustees, USA Basketball, NCAA Rules and Competition Committee, FIBA Technical Commission and the University of Oregon Foundation Board of Trustees. 
 
He joins a diverse committee comprised of multiple conference commissioners, athletics directors, men’s basketball head coaches, senior woman administrators, faculty advisors and student-athletes.
