SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Yvonne Ejim of Gonzaga and Zeryhia Aokuso from Saint Mary's have been named the Credit Union 1 WCC Women's Basketball Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday. Ejim was voted Player of the Week while Aokuso earned her second-straight Freshman of the Week honor.  
 
CREDIT UNION 1 WCC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – YVONNE EJIM, SR., F – GONZAGA
Yvonne Ejim had two double-doubles last week to help keep Gonzaga a perfect 7-0 conference record and extend its overall winning streak to 14 games. Ejim grabbed 13 rebounds in both games on the road at Santa Clara and San Francisco and averaged 20 points a game. This is her fifth Credit Union 1 WCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor.

CREDIT UNION 1 WCC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – ZERYHIA AOKUSO, G – SAINT MARY'S
Zeryhia Aokuso of Saint Mary’s captured her fourth Credit Union 1 WCC Freshman of the Week honor in the last five weeks and fifth honor overall this season after her 21-point, 7-rebound performance in Saturday’s win over Santa Clara. Aokuso was the only Gael to score in double figures in both games last week and averaged six rebounds and three assists.
