SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Tess Heal from Santa Clara and Zeryhia-Lee Aokuso of Saint Mary's were voted the Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Players of the Week for the second-straight week, the league announced on Monday. Heal was voted the Conference's Player of the Week, while Aokuso was voted the league's Freshman of the Week.
 
CREDIT UNION 1 WCC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – TESS HEAL, SO., G – SANTA CLARA
Tess Heal led Santa Clara in the Broncos, 80-77 win against Pacific on Saturday. Heal had a game-high 30 points, tied for the league's best single-game scoring performance this season. She also added six assists and four defensive rebounds in the home victory. The win extended Santa Clara's home winning streak to six games. Heal is second in the WCC in scoring (18.3 ppg) and leads the Broncos. This is her second-straight weekly award and third honor on the season.

CREDIT UNION 1 WCC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – ZERYHIA-LEE AOKUSO, G – SAINT MARY'S
Rookie Zeryhia-Lee Aokuso continues to lead Saint Mary's in scoring (10.4 ppg) following another week in double figures. Aokuso had 10 points against Pacific last Thursday and a game-high 19 points in the 67-59 win over San Diego on Saturday. She averaged 14.5 points, four rebounds, and 3.5 assists across the weekend. Aokuso has scored in double figures in five of the last seven games. This is her second-straight weekly honor and third on the season.
