SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – After collecting back-to-back double-doubles last week, Gonzaga's Ryan Nembhard won Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season, while San Diego's Kevin Patton Jr. claimed CU1 WCC Freshman of the Week for a Conference-best tying fourth time this season.
CREDIT UNION 1 WCC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – RYAN NEMBHARD, JR., G – GONZAGA
Ryan Nembhard notched double-doubles in both of Gonzaga's double-digit wins last week, posting 16 points and 11 assists against LMU, and 18 points and 10 assists against Pacific. His average of 10.5 assists per game last week was the fifth-highest average in the nation for the week. This is the second time that Nembhard has been named the CU1 WCC Player of the Week (Dec. 4) and it is the Zags' fourth Conference player of the week accolade this season.

Kevin Patton Jr. collected 24 points combined in matchups with Portland and Santa Clara. He began his week recording 13 points against the Pilots, adding four rebounds, two assists, four steals and two blocks. He wrapped up his weekend by adding 11 points with another four rebounds, an assist, two steals and two blocks against the Broncos. This is Patton's fourth CU1 WCC Freshman of the Week honor this season, tying for a league best this season.
