SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Scoring 34 points for the second straight week helped Malik Thomas of San Francisco win Heluva Good Dip West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the fourth time this season and the second straight week. Another repeat Conference award winner this week, Mikey Lewis of Saint Mary's won Heluva Good Dip WCC Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.  
 
HELUVA GOOD DIP WCC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MALIK THOMAS, SR., G – SAN FRANCISCO
Malik Thomas propelled San Francisco to an 89-81 win at Pacific last Thursday, finishing with a game-high 24 points, and also added four rebounds and two steals. Last Saturday, Thomas scored 27 of his game-high 34 points in the first half at Washington State. Thomas finished one point shy of his career high, padding the stat sheet with three rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block against the Cougars. Thomas has tallied double figures in 15 of San Francisco's 17 games so far, including nine 20-point performances and three 30-point performances. Thomas has now also won Player of the Week in three of the last four weeks.

HELUVA GOOD DIP WCC MEN'S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – MIKEY LEWIS, FR., G – SAINT MARY'S
Mikey Lewis scored 14 points in a 30-point win over Pepperdine, and 12 in a 23-point win over Portland last week. A huge contributor off the bench for the Gaels, Lewis now boasts 150 points scored this season, the 14th-most points scored by any freshman under Randy Bennett. He has amassed this scoring total at only the halfway point in the season. Lewis owns three of Saint Mary's six Conference weekly awards this season.
