SAN BRUNO, Calif. – West Coast Conference Individual Champion and Freshman of the Year Rosemary Longisa of Washington State was named the 2025 West Coast Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year, while Washington State's Laura Harmon won West Coast Conference Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year.
The Conference recognizes the Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year and Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year in a vote of each of the Conference’s head coaches at the conclusion of the NCAA cross country season for all programs.
Harmon claimed the West Coast Conference Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year for the first time in the two seasons Washington State has been part of the league. Harmon guided the Cougars to their first West Coast Conference Women's Cross Country title en route to a fourth-placed finish at the NCAA West Regionals. WSU collected an at-large bid into the NCAA Championships, the team's first time since 1985. Washington State finished with one women's All-American runner, with Rosemary Longisa placing 27th.
Longisa won the West Coast Conference Individual Championship and the Freshman of the Year award all while setting the course record at the league championships. Longisa later also finished in record-setting fashion at the NCAA West Regionals in Sacremento on her way to earning a spot in the NCAA Championships. In the 6k race, Longisa became the fifth All-Amercian in program history with her finish.
Longisa also earned all-conference first team honors back at the West Coast Conference Championships. She collected three West Coast Conference Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week accolades throughout the season.
