SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Instrumental in Saint Mary's 4-0 start in conference play, Paulius Murauskas won this week's West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Joel Foxwell from Portland once again won West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week, consistently proving to be one of the league's top freshmen performers.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – PAULIUS MURAUSKAS, JR., F – SAINT MARY'S
Paulius Murauskas (Kaunas, Lithuania) averaged 24.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game over the Gaels' 3-0 stretch with wins over Pepperdine, Portland and Seattle U. He led the Gaels in scoring in all three contests, including registering his second career 30-point performance against the Redhawks along with a career-high tying 15 rebounds. Murauskas shot 54 percent from the field, 44 percent from three-point distance and 81 percent from the free throw line. He also tallied 11 assists on the week. This is the second time Murauskas has won conference player of the week this season and the Gaels own four total conference weekly awards this season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN'S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – JOEL FOXWELL, FR., G – PORTLAND
Joel Foxwell (Melbourne, Australia) boasted two 20-point games, averaging 16.3 points and 9.0 assists per game. He matched his own program single-game assists record with 20 points and 15 assists against Santa Clara. He added six more assists at Saint Mary’s and at San Francisco. Foxwell leads the conference in assists per game. Foxwell has now won conference freshman of the week four times this season.
