NBA’s California Classic and Salt Lake City Summer Leagues Feature Seven Former West Coast Conference Players

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Seven players who competed in the West Coast Conference right before playing professionally have been named to NBA rosters for the California Classic and Salt Lake City summer leagues. Both leagues include four teams and will host games from July 5-8.

The California Classic summer league will feature the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs. The games will be played at Chase Center in San Francisco.

The Salt Lake City summer league will feature the Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers. The games will be played at the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City.

Six different West Coast Conference member and affiliate member programs are represented, with two-time West Coast Conference Player of the Year Augustas Marciulionis from Saint Mary’s headlining the group. Marciulionis has signed with the Los Angeles Lakers and will compete in the California Classic. San Francisco’s Marcus Williams has signed with the Miami Heat and will also compete in the California Classic.

Cedric Coward of Washington State, who was selected as the 11th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, was named to the summer league roster for the Memphis Grizzlies in Salt Lake City. Joining Coward on the Grizzlies’ roster is Jeremy Jones from Gonzaga, who played with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA G League last season.

The 76ers, also competing in Salt Lake City, will feature two West Coast Conference standouts in Stefan Todorovic of Pepperdine and Caleb Stone-Carrawell of LMU. Alex Ducas of Saint Mary’s, who won an NBA Championship with the Oklahoma City Thunder last month, will compete on the Thunder’s summer league team.

Following the conclusion of the California Classic and Salt Lake City summer leagues, the NBA2K26 Las Vegas Summer League will be contested July 10-20, featuring all 30 teams.
