West Coast Conference Announces 2025-26 Men’s Basketball Conference Weekly Matchup Schedule

Conference play starts on Dec. 28

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has unveiled its 2025-26 men’s basketball weekly conference matchup schedule. The West Coast Conference will feature 12 programs playing 18 conference games over 10 weeks, beginning on Dec. 28.

The West Coast Conference has adopted a new scheduling format for men’s basketball that includes conference games primarily contested on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and date flexibility with national television partners to provide more national exposure for the conference on additional days of the week. The 2025-26 schedule includes conference games on as many as five days in a given week after the first three weeks. Weekday games will be played on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, and weekend games will be played on Saturdays or Sundays. The conference matchup schedule of weekday and weekend games includes a select number of contests that have been assigned to specific dates for national broadcast opportunities. The full schedule of game dates along with broadcast information will be announced later this fall, following the completion of national television selections with the conference’s partners, ESPN and CBS Sports Network.

Each of the 12 programs will play four opponents once and seven opponents twice. Conference play is slated to begin on Sunday, Dec. 28, and will conclude on Saturday, Feb. 28.

The 2026 Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Basketball Championship returns to Orleans Arena in Las Vegas for the 18th consecutive year. The 12-team tournament will be held from March 5-10, 2026.

For a record sixth consecutive tournament and 11th time in the last 13 events, multiple West Coast Conference men's basketball teams earned NCAA selections as Saint Mary's and Gonzaga received bids into the 2025 NCAA Tournament collectively for the fourth straight year. The Bulldogs earned the automatic qualifier after defeating the Gaels in the championship game of the 2025 Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Championship.

No. 7 seed Saint Mary's and No. 8 seed Gonzaga both advanced to the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament. The Gaels beat No. 10 seed Vanderbilt before falling to No. 2 seed Alabama, while the Bulldogs topped No. 9 seed Georgia before losing to No. 1 seed Houston.

The West Coast Conference also tied a conference record with six men's basketball teams selected to participate in the postseason after Oregon State and Washington State were named to the inaugural College Basketball Crown field and San Francisco and Santa Clara were named to the NIT field.
