SAN BRUNO, Calif. – After earning a big win over Saint Mary's last weekend, part of a 2-0 week, Santa Clara swept this week's West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week awards with Christian Hammond winning Player of the Week and Allen Graves claiming Freshman of the Week. 

WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – CHRISTIAN HAMMOND, SO., G – SANTA CLARA
Christian Hammond (Denver, Colo.) led the Broncos in scoring in both wins over Pacific and Saint Mary's. Hammond began the week with an 18-point outing in SCU's 85-69 win over Pacific, shooting 7-for-10 from the floor and a pair of steals defensively. Hammond boasted a huge night in the 62-54 win over Saint Mary's, scoring a game-high 25 points on 8-of-15 shooting to lead the Broncos to their first win over the Gaels since Feb. 8, 2022. He made a career-best nine makes on 10 attempts at the free throw line, including going 4-for-4 inside the final minute to close out the game. Hammond also pulled down five rebounds to go with two assists and a steal against the Gaels. This is Hammond's first conference weekly award this season and the second time a Santa Clara player has been named player of the week this season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN'S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – ALLEN GRAVES, FR., F – SANTA CLARA
Allen Graves (Ponchatoula, La.) posted 17 points, eight rebounds, three blocks, three steals and a pair of assists in the win over Pacific. He was the Broncos’ second-leading scorer in their 62-54 win over Saint Mary’s with 11 points and posted a team-high eight rebounds. Defensively, he helped SCU hold the Gaels to their lowest point total and shooting percentage (31.6) of the season. This is Graves' second conference weekly award this season.
