SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Portland’s David Ajagbe was named the West Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, while Santa Clara’s Jackson Ozburn collected his first Defensive Player of the Week award.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN’S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – DAVID AJAGBE, JR., F – PORTLAND
David Ajagbe scored an incredible four goals — including the game winner — in the 5-4 win over No. 25 San Diego that pushed Portland’s winning streak to five and gave the Pilots their first 3-0-0 WCC record since 2022. He converted a 64th-minute penalty kick for the winner. Four goals are the most by any Pilot since 2022, and Ajagbe is just the seventh Pilot in program history to score at least four goals in a match. The forward is tied for the most goals in a match by any player in Division I this season and ranks second in goals (8) in the WCC.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN’S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JACKSON OZBURN, SR., G – SANTA CLARA
Jackson Ozburn posted his third shutout of the season in Santa Clara’s 2-0 victory over LMU in a conference victory on Saturday night. Ozburn had a pair of saves in each half to finish with four saves in the game. His first save came just five minutes into the game, when he turned away Adrian Alvarez's header. Ozburn's best save came in the 61st minute with the Broncos holding onto a 1-0 lead, with the senior making a diving save of Anthony Boyadjian's shot.
