SAN BRUNO, Calif. – San Diego’s Lauren Lynch (Defensive) and Santa Clara’s Macy Hinshaw (Setter) each claimed her third West Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week award this season, while Pepperdine’s Nikol Dvornikova earned her second Freshman of the Week accolade and Loyola Marymount’s Zaria Thornton was honored with her first Offensive Player of the Week accolade.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ZARIA THORNTON, JR., MB – LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
Zaria Thornton delivered an exceptionally efficient offensive week for LMU, totaling 22 kills across six sets while committing just one attack error on 29 attempts for a .724 hitting percentage, as the Lions won at Portland 3-0 and at Seattle U 3-0. Thornton averaged 3.67 kills per set and finished the week with 23.5 points as the Lions went 2-0 in conference play. She also added three total blocks while providing LMU with consistent production from the middle throughout both victories.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – LAUREN LYNCH, SO., L – SAN DIEGO
Lauren Lynch piled up 37 digs over seven sets last week for an average of 5.29 per set – posting match highs in both of San Diego’s wins – to repeat as the WCC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. The sophomore libero had 16 digs in Thursday’s 3-0 sweep of San Francisco and 21 in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Santa Clara, with nine of those coming in the first set against the Broncos. She had no reception errors against San Francisco on 21 serve-receive attempts and added 14 assists, an ace and a kill. Lynch served nine straight points against USF, her ace among them, to turn a 3-2 first-set lead into 12-2. Against Santa Clara, she also handed out 10 assists, passed 15-for-15 and went 16-for-16 from the service line.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – NIKOL DVORNIKOVA, FR., OH – PEPPERDINE
Nikol Dvornikova starred in Pepperdine’s 3-0 win at Seattle U on Thursday and 3-1 victory at Portland on Sunday to earn her second WCC Volleyball Freshman of the Week honor of her career. She tallied a career-high 16 kills against the Pilots, while her .320 and .308 respective hitting percentages mark the second time this season she has gone two straight matches recording an above-.300 hitting percentage.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK – MACY HINSHAW, JR., S – SANTA CLARA
Macy Hinshaw averaged 12.50 assists per set and totaled 100 assists in two road matches during the week to collect her third WCC Volleyball Setter of the Week award of 2026. She averaged 54 assists in only four sets Thursday in a 3-1 win at Denver. The Bronco also had 13 digs against the Pioneers for her third consecutive double-double and 12th in her last 14 matches. On Saturday at San Diego, Hinshaw collected 46 assists to go over the 1,000 assists mark on the season (now with 1,009 in 2026). She narrowly missed another double-double with nine digs in a 3-1 setback against the Toreros. Hinshaw also posted two blocks and a service ace during the week.
