SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Posting 30 points in a road win at San Francisco, Santa Clara's Elijah Mahi won West Coast Conference Player of the Week, while Portland's Joel Foxwell won West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week for the seventh time this season.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ELIJAH MAHI, SR., F – SANTA CLARA
Elijah Mahi (Toronto, Canada) shot 11-for-21 from the floor (52.4 percent) in the win over the Dons, and he knocked down a trio of 3-pointers and was a perfect 5-for-5 at the free throw line. He also pulled down seven rebounds along with two assists, a block and a career-high-tying four steals. Mahi's 30-point outing is tied for the second-most by a Bronco this season, and he helped the Broncos pick up their 14th win in conference play, a program record for West Coast Conference single-season victories. This is Mahi's second conference weekly award this season and the Broncos now own nine overall conference awards this season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN'S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – JOEL FOXWELL, FR., G – PORTLAND
Joel Foxwell (Melbourne, Australia) averaged 27.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.5 steals in the games against Pepperdine and Seattle U. He broke numerous records last weekend including the program's freshman single-game scoring record with 35 points and added eight assists and two steals Wednesday against Pepperdine. Foxwell was 13-for-23 from the field and 7-for-8 at the foul line. He also set the program assist single-season record. Foxwell also broke the Pilot freshman single-season scoring record. He followed that performance with 20 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals at Seattle U on Saturday, good for his 11th 20-point game of the season.
