SAN BRUNO, Calif. – A five-point weekend, highlighted by a key assist in No. 18 San Diego's 2-1 win at No. 1 Washington, Steven Ramirez from the Toreros earned West Coast Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors. Making his return to action after missing 2025 due to injury, LMU's Ky Mani Dade posted a shutout at Michigan to win West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week. 
 
WEST COAST CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – STEVEN RAMIREZ, SR., F – SAN DIEGO
Steven Ramirez was instrumental in two big Torero victories to start the 2026 campaign. In the 2-1 win over No. 1 Washington, he earned an assist in the opening goal of the game. He later scored two goals during the 3-1 win over Liberty, good for a total of five points last weekend. Ramirez tallied a shooting percentage of .667 with four of his six overall shots on goal.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KY MANI DADE, SR., GK – LMU

After missing the 2025 season due to injury, Ky Mani Dade recorded a road shutout against Michigan, posting three saves. One of his saves was a tremendous diving stop in the 14th minute off of a free kick that kept the clean sheet intact. The hard-fought draw for the Lions came against a Wolverine team receiving votes in the national preseason polls.
