SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Portland swept the West Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week awards, with David Ajagbe garnering the Offensive Player of the Week honor and Ritvik Karra repeating as the Defensive Player of the Week after the Pilots blanked Loyola Marymount in their conference-opening win on Saturday at home.
 
WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN’S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – DAVID AJAGBE, JR., F – PORTLAND
David Ajagbe tallied the most points (5) of any Pilot this weekend, scoring two goals and adding an assist in Portland’s 4-0 conference-opening win over Loyola Marymount. He is the second Pilot to score a brace this season and first to do so against a Division I opponent. His goals helped secure leads of 2-0 and 4-0, effectively putting away the game. He is tied for the team high in goals (3) and ranks second in points (7).

WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN’S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – RITVIK KARRA, SO., M – PORTLAND
Once again a vital contributor on both ends of the field, Ritvik Karra played 70 minutes defensively to help the Pilots secure a shutout while scoring the game-winning goal and adding an assist in Portland’s 4-0 rout of Loyola Marymount. The goal marked the first goal of his career and his first gamewinner. Karra has now contributed to the game-winning goal in two straight contests and has posted an assist in two straight games. The work by the repeat Defensive Player of the Week contributed to Portland recording its third consecutive shutout and fourth this season.
