Notzka Takes Men's Soccer Offensive Player Of The Week

Defensive honors was awarded to Nieves from LMU

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Posting 11 points on the week, Seattle U's Alex Notzka won West Coast Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. LMU's Ismail Nieves claimed Defensive Player of the Week, helping the Lions shut out UNLV. 
 
WEST COAST CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ALEX NOTZKA, JR., F – SEATTLE U
Alex Notzka recorded his first career hat trick in 7-1 win over Cal State Fullerton last week. He later recorded a brace and added an assist in the 6-1 win over UC Davis. This is the first conference weekly honor for the Redhawks this season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ISMAIL NIEVES, SR., D – LMU
Ismail Nieves scored the gamewinner in LMU’s 1-0 win over UNLV last Wednesday. After getting the Lions on the board, he propelled LMU to  victory and the shutout as the Lions played the final 20 minutes a man down after a red card. The Lions have now won two of the first three conference defensive player of the week awards this season.
