Alex Crook serves as the Communications and Media Relations Intern at the West Coast Conference. He joined the WCC staff in August 2017. In that role, he manages scores and statistics, writes and edits press releases, and updates record books among other tasks.
Prior to joining the WCC, Crook spent the previous summer as an Editorial Intern at Mile High Sports in Colorado, covering the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer. In June 2017, he volunteered at the NCAA Division I Baseball Regional at Stanford as a media services assistant. He's also spent time as a stringer for Bay Area News Group covering high school sports.
Crook earned his Bachelor's degree in Communication from Saint Mary's College of California in May 2017. While in Moraga, he wrote for the student newspaper and was a student assistant in the athletic communications department, writing baseball recaps for www.smcgaels.com while handling the baseball team's social media efforts.
