In February 2013, Amanda Blackwell became the first full-time WCC Correspondent. As the West Coast Correspondent, Blackwell serves as a host and reporter for the West Coast Conference digital network. She is responsible for creating video content and conducting live interviews at WCC championships throughout the year for use on both digital and linear platforms.
In addition to reporting and conducting interviews for feature video content, Blackwell also serves as the primary host for regular West Coast Conference Hangouts on Google+ and YouTube. As the WCC Correspondent, she serves as a sideline reporter during West Coast Conference championship broadcasts and select regular season Game of the Week broadcasts on the Network.
A 2009 graduate of the University of Colorado, Blackwell began her professional career as an associate producer at Comcast SportsNet in San Francisco. In her nearly five years at CSN, Blackwell worked directly on Oakland A's programming while regularly producing features for the network. While at CU, she served as Executive Producer for a weekly sports magazine television show at her alma mater, where she graduated with honors.
Blackwell currently resides in Pleasanton, Calif.
