Lauren Tiernan serves as the Assistant Director of Championships and Sport Administration for the West Coast Conference. She joined the West Coast Conference staff in October of 2016.

Tiernan serves as the co-tournament director for the WCC Basketball Tournament and championship manager for WCC Men’s Golf, Women’s Golf, Rowing and Baseball. Tiernan serves as the WCC Sport Administrator for Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Golf, Women’s Golf, and Rowing. Tiernan served as the Tournament Manager when the WCC hosted the NCAA Division I Women’s College Cup at Avaya Stadium in 2019 and will serve as the Tournament Manager when the WCC hosts the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament 1st and 2nd Rounds at SAP Center in March 2021. Tiernan manages various championships operations, including the WCC awards and signage programs. 

Tiernan joined the WCC after a stint at the NCAA where she served as an NCAA Postgraduate Intern in Championships at the National Office in Indianapolis. Throughout her internship, she worked on a variety of championships including Division I Wrestling, Division I, II, and III Women’s Basketball, Division III Baseball, Division I Women’s Volleyball, Division I Cross Country, Division III Men’s and Women’s Soccer and the Division II Spring Festival. In her position, she coordinated various aspects of event management while learning first-hand how to execute an NCAA-caliber event.

Prior to her position with the NCAA, Lauren worked as a Game Operations graduate assistant for the University of the Incarnate Word athletic department in San Antonio in the 2014-15 athletic year.

A native of Boise, Idaho, Tiernan was a women’s soccer student-athlete at the University of Evansville, where she earned her degree in sport management in 2014. She interned with the University of Evansville athletic department, Evansville Sports Corporation (ESC) and the Denver Outlaws during her undergrad days.
