Position:
Assistant to the Commissioner

Audrey Mesta joined the West Coast Conference as the Assistant to the Commissioner in August of 2008. Mesta, a native of San Diego, Calif., received her bachelor's degree in recreation management from Arizona State University.

In her position, Mesta will be mainly responsible for providing administrative assistance to the commissioner as well as conference staff. She will also be responsible for coordinating many of the conference's annual meetings, including travel and logistics.

Mesta brings with her a wealth of experience in college athletics. After graduating from ASU, Mesta joined their marketing department as an intern, where she was quickly promoted to assistant marketing specialist the following year. While with ASU, Mesta played a key role in the Sun Devils marketing and promotional efforts during their 1996 Rose Bowl season.

After working at ASU, she joined the athletics department at San Diego State as an assistant director of marketing. Mesta's primary initiatives while at SDSU included developing and implementing annual marketing and promotions plans to maximize exposure and ticket revenue for the Aztecs' women's athletics programs.

After three seasons as SDSU, Mesta left to join the athletics department at Fairfield University as the director of marketing. Her primary responsibilities included managing the athletic marketing budget, placing all media for revenue producing sports, generating corporate and fundraising partnerships, and coordinating season ticket and game day sales. While at Fairfield, Mesta spearheaded the athletic department's marketing and promotional efforts for its 2003 NIT Men's Basketball tournament game, which yielded the largest attendance in Fairfield basketball history.

Following her stint at Fairfield University, she also worked with Elite Racing Sports Marketing & Management and the Deal Golf and Country Club in New Jersey.
