Mia Brickhouse serves as the Associate Commissioner of Championships and Administration at the West Coast Conference. Brickhouse joined the WCC as the Assistant Commissioner of Championships and Administration in April 2010, after serving as a Director of Sport Administration for the Big East Conference.
In her role with the WCC, Brickhouse will oversee all five of the conference championships, with a specific emphasis on the Basketball, Baseball, and Cross Country Championships, while also serving as a primary conference liaison for assigned coaches groups. Brickhouse also serves as the primary conference administrator for the athletic trainers, game managers, and the strength and conditioning best practices groups. In addition, she assists the Executive Senior Associate Commissioner/COO in oversight of conference governance and other related policies.
Brickhouse spent six years at the Big East Conference, with her last two years serving as a Director of Sport Administration, where she coordinated all the elements of select Big East Championships, including contract negotiations, officiating, and implementation of conference and NCAA policies and regulations. She also administered the Big East post-graduate scholarship program and developed the Big East SWA professional development grant for Women and Ethnic Minorities. Prior to her position as a Director of Sport Administration, she was an Assistant Director of Sport Administration, where she served as the primary contact for field hockey, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, and softball. Her role also included scheduling for field hockey and softball.
Brickhouse earned her B.A. in Communications and a minor in Political Science from Villanova University, before receiving her J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law and passing the Pennsylvania Bar. While a student at Villanova, Brickhouse was a four-year member of the softball team.
