Men's Head Coach Eric Reveno
 
Eric Reveno was named head coach of the University of Portland men?s basketball program in April, 2006, becoming the 20th coach in Pilots history. Reveno, 40, comes to Portland after an impressive nine-year stint at Stanford University. He served as an assistant coach under Mike Montgomery for seven years and was promoted to associate head coach during the 2004-05 season with new head coach Trent Johnson.
 
Women's Head Coach Jim Sollars
 
With ten years of previous head coaching experience, Jim Sollars was hired in 1986 as the head women?s basketball coach at the University of Portland. In his first 11 years at Portland, Sollars also served the university as a history professor. He ended his 31-year teaching career upon announcing his retirement following the 1996-97 academic year. 2005-06 was a season of close calls for the Pilots. Despite going 4-24 overall and 1-13 in the West Coast Conference, the Pilots were competitive and gave themselves a chance to win nearly every game.
