Jesse Hooker joined the West Coast Conference in September of 2026, joining the senior leadership team and overseeing strategic communications, storytelling and the WCC’s linear and digital broadcasting initiatives.
Hooker brings nearly two decades of collegiate athletics communications and administrative experience spanning campus athletics departments and conference-level operations.
Hooker most recently spent nine years at the Pac-12 Conference, serving as Strategic Sports Communications Director and leading the league’s men’s basketball communications efforts. During his tenure, he led and expanded the sports communications team responsible for the conference’s 24 sponsored sports, directed season-long external relations with local, regional and national media and worked with broadcast partners including ESPN, FOX Sports and Pac-12 Networks. He also coordinated media operations for Pac-12 Tournaments, Media Days, China Games and NCAA Tournament West Regionals.
Additionally, Hooker served on the Pac-12’s Basketball Strategy Group, helping implement non-conference scheduling consultations and standards informed by league benchmarking and performance analysis.
Prior to joining the Pac-12, Hooker spent nine years at The George Washington University, beginning as Assistant Sports Information Director in 2006 before earning a promotion to Director of Athletics Communications in 2011. He also completed his MBA as a graduate assistant at Saint Francis University and began his professional career as an intern at Hamilton College.
A Western New York native, Hooker earned a bachelor’s degree in business management with a specialization in sport management from Cazenovia College, where he was a two-sport student-athlete, captained the men’s soccer team and earned All-North Eastern Athletic Conference honors.
