Tim Miguel joined the West Coast Conference as the Director of Communications in January of 2022. Miguel is the primary sport communications contact for men's basketball, baseball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, beach volleyball, and men's and women's tennis.
Miguel previously worked for 15 years in athletic communications at the University of California, serving as a sports information director for the Cal football team for eight seasons. While working with the football team, Miguel worked with multiple future NFL Draft picks, including spearheading national media promotions for Heisman Trophy candidate Jared Goff, current quarterback for the Detroit Lions. Prior to football, Miguel was the primary sports information director for the men's basketball team at Cal for three seasons, including the 2009-2010 Golden Bears' team that was nationally-ranked and won the 2010 Pac-10 Championship.
During his time at Cal, Miguel has also served as a media coordinator for numerous NCAA Championship events hosted on the Cal campus.
A San Francisco Bay Area native, Miguel graduated from San Diego State in 2005 with a bachlors degree in journalism. While in San Diego, Miguel interned for the media relations office in the athletic department at San Diego State.
