WCC Announces 2015 Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team
Three student-athletes make second straight appearance
SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The 2015 West Coast Conference All-Academic team features ten top scholar-athletes including three making a repeat appearance. Two of Santa Clara's student-athletes, redshirt senior Bryan Crook and senior Ryan Greenough as well as Pepperdine junior Ben Fox were selected for a second straight year for this academic accolade.
This season, fourteen nominated men's cross country student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.50 or better, seven of those fourteen recorded a mark of 3.75 or higher. One student-athlete, Kevin Maeda a sophomore of Pepperdine, boasts a 4.00 GPA.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
