SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2015 West Coast Conference Volleyball All-Academic Team. The group includes four student-athletes named to the all-academic squad for the second straight year and one whom captured 2015 Capital One Academic All-District 8 honors.
BYU junior middle blocker Amy Boswell earned Academic All-District 8 honors for the second consecutive season after posting a 3.90 GPA in Nursing. Boswell, along with Gonzaga's Lauren Joseph, Pepperdine's Gaby Palmeri and Pacific's Kimmy Whitson earned selection for the second straight year.
This season, 15 nominated volleyball student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.50 or better while six recorded a mark of 3.75 or higher.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
