Pacific’s Ameela Li Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for November 12, 2018.
 
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – AMEELA LI, SR., G – PACIFIC
Senior guard Ameela Li led the Tigers onto a victory over the defending Big West Conference champions, UC Davis, with a career high 27 points, seven assists, four steals and two rebounds. Li shot 10-19 from the field and was 4-9 from three-point range. Li played all but the final five minutes of the game after fouling out, but not before helping the Tigers out to a big lead that would stand up thanks to an 11-point third quarter in which she three assists and a steal while shooting 50 percent from the field. She would go on to get five more points with two assists in five minutes in the fourth quarter to spur Pacific onto the 83-80 win.
 
On the week, she averaged 27.0 points, 7.0 assists, 4.0 steals and 2.0 rebounds while shooting .500 percent from the field.
