Sydney Raggio Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for December 24, 2018.
 
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – SYDNEY RAGGIO, SR., F, SAINT MARY’S
Sydney Raggio led the Gaels in becoming champions of the Tulane Classic in New Orleans. She was named All-Tournament MVP after two impressive performances including a game-high 23 points in the championship game along with eight rebounds, two assists and a steal. She was 8-for-12 in the game which was good for a .667 field goal percentage.
 
In the week’s three games, Raggio averaged 16.0 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting 51.4 percent from the field. Furthermore, she was perfect from the free throw line, going 11-for-11 during the week.
