SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has announced its Men’s Soccer All-Academic Team for the 2020-21 spring season. This year’s 11-member first team encompasses WCC student-athletes who excelled both on the pitch and in the classroom.
Six men’s soccer programs placed at least one student-athlete on the first team led by four from LMU, the 2020-21 WCC Champions and NCAA Tournament participant. Pacific and Santa Clara each had a pair of selections.
This year’s squad features two repeat appearances led Gonzaga’s
Joe Corner and LMU’s
Nick Dauchot, a 2020-21 All-WCC First Team performer. Dauchot was also named to the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic District 8 Team.
No fewer than 48 men’s soccer student-athletes qualified for academic honors. More than 25 posted a GPA of at least 3.50, while 13 posted marks of 3.75 or better.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
