SAN MATEO, Calif. – San Francisco’s Kira Gupta Baltazar was named the University Credit Union West Coast Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week after winning the San Francisco State Invitational individual title on Friday.
 
Gupta Baltazar’s honor gives USF its second UCU WCC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week this season. Teammate Ruby Smee captured the Conference’s weekly honor on Sept. 6.

Gupta Baltazar, the reigning individual triathlon national champion, captured first-place honors in the San Francisco State Invitational this past Friday. She finished the 6,000-meter race with a time of 21:13.7 in her second cross country meet at the Division I level. The Dons placed fifth as a team in the meet.
