SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Lizzy Crawford of Pepperdine was named the University Credit Union WCC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week following a record breaking performance last week.

Lizzy Crawford led the Pepperdine women for the second week in a row. Crawford earned a 25th-place overall finish out of 172 runners in the women's 6K invitational at the UC Riverside Invitational in a time of 21:07.2, which puts her third on the all-time list. Her time was just 28.15 seconds away from the school record, which is 20:39.05 held by Chelsea Wishard and was 9.92 seconds away from passing head coach Lauren Floris (nee Lodge) 6K time which sits second all-time at 20:57.28. This was Crawford's collegiate 6K debut and the first time since 2018 a women's runner has put her name in the top-5 on the all-time 6K list.
