SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – On the back end of three Top 9 wins and a pair of hat tricks, Nico Tierney of Pepperdine has been named the KAP7 WCC Men's Water Polo Player of the Week. 
 
WCC KAP7 MEN'S WATER POLO PLAYER OF THE WEEK – NICO TIERNEY, SR. – PEPPERDINE
Tierney had a strong week at the Overnight MPSF Invite against four Top 10 programs shooting .625 and tallying a total of ten goals and seven assists for a total of 17 points. He also notched two hat-tricks, collected three steals and two drawn exclusions in the four games. Tierney helped lead the Waves to a 3-1 record with wins against ninthh-ranked UC San Diego, eighth-ranked UC Davis and fourth-ranked Princeton. The lone loss was to second-ranked UCLA.
