SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – West Coast Conference men’s basketball will be featured on national television 51 times during the regular season, including 26 regular season games through its long-term media rights agreements with ESPN and CBS Sports.
In all, 17 regular season men’s basketball games and five men’s basketball games in the 2025 Credit Union 1 WCC Basketball Championship will air on ESPN platforms. Three of those regular season contests include non-conference games featuring No. 6 Gonzaga against No. 8 Baylor (Nov. 4), Arizona State (Nov. 10) and No. 23 Kentucky (Dec. 7). CBS Sports Network will feature nine conference games, including four contests during the final week of the regular season.
The WCC will once again be a featured part of ESPN’s coverage of men’s college basketball, with 14 conference games appearing on ESPN platforms, including four Tuesday telecasts and three Wednesday telecasts. ESPN will feature six total games of the 2025 Credit Union 1 WCC Basketball Championship, including both the men’s basketball and women's basketball championship games on March 11.
All games that are televised on an ESPN network will also be available on the ESPN App with TV Everywhere credentials. WCC men’s basketball regular season games that are not nationally televised on ESPN or CBS Sports Network, will be available on
ESPN+, the leading sports streaming service. Blackout restrictions apply in certain local markets.
Gonzaga and Saint Mary's will renew their rivalry with both matchups on the ESPN platforms. The first meeting on Saturday, Feb. 1, will take place in Moraga at 8 p.m. on ESPN. The second meeting in Spokane will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22, on either ESPN or ESPN2 at 5 or 7 p.m. The game time and network will be announced closer to Feb. 22.
On Saturday, March 1, Gonzaga and San Francisco will meet for the second straight year in Chase Center in downtown San Francisco, on ESPN in the regular season finale.
All nine games that will air on CBS Sports Network as part of the WCC’s partnership with CBS Sports will be intraconference contests. CBS Sports Network's package includes one game on Tuesday (Feb. 25, Gonzaga at Santa Clara) and one game on Wednesday (Feb. 26, San Francisco at Oregon State).
CBS Sports Network is widely available through all major cable, satellite and telco distributors as well as via OTT streaming service providers YouTube TV, fuboTV, DirecTV and Hulu. Additionally, a live CBS Sports Network stream is available through CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports App by authenticating with select providers.
Each of the 11 WCC programs will play eight conference opponents twice and two teams once as part of its 18-game schedule. Conference play is slated to begin on Thursday, Dec. 28, and will conclude on Saturday, March 1.
Saint Mary's won both the regular season and tournament championships last season. SMC and Gonzaga both earned No. 5 seeds in the NCAA Tournament last season. The Zags reached the Sweet 16 for the ninth consecutive season, the longest active streak in the nation. The WCC has been a multi-bid league in the NCAA Tournament every year since 2019, excluding 2020 when the NCAA was not conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Among last season's all-conference major award winners, four of the six return this season - Player of the Year Augustas Marciulionis (Saint Mary's), Coach of the Year Randy Bennett (Saint Mary's), Defensive Player of the Year Mitchell Saxen (Saint Mary's) and Freshman of the Year Ryan Beasley (San Francisco). In addition, seven of the All-WCC First Team honorees return to a WCC team.
