Santa Clara's Allen Graves Selected 19th Overall By Toronto In 2026 NBA Draft

Graves became the 33rd NBA first round draft pick in West Coast Conference history

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Santa Clara's Allen Graves was selected 19th overall by Toronto in the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft on Tuesday. Graves became the 33rd first-round draft pick in West Coast Conference history.

The West Coast Conference now owns six first round draft picks since 2022. In addition, the Broncos own three of those six selections - Graves, Jalen Williams (12th overall in 2022) and Brandin Podziemski (19th overall in 2023). Santa Clara is the only mid-major program to boast a first-round draft pick in three of the last five NBA Drafts and one of six in all of Division I to feature a top-20 selection in three of the last five drafts (Arizona, Baylor, Duke, Kansas and Kentucky).

Graves' first-round selection also marked the second straight year in which the West Coast Conference featured a first round draft pick. Cedric Coward of Washington State went 11th overall in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Graves was a key contributor for Santa Clara as the Broncos earned an at-large berth into the NCAA Tournament, making the West Coast Conference a three-bid league for the first time since 2022. He won both the West Coast Conference Sixth Man of the Year and Freshman of the Year awards. His season totals include averaging 11.8 ppg, and team bests in rebounding (6.5 rpg) and steals (67). Graves connected on 38 of 92 three-point attempts, good for a team-best percentage of .413 from behind the arc.
