SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Santa Clara swept this week's KAP7 WCC Men's Water Polo Players of the Week awards. Zach Fales was named KAP7 WCC Player of the Week, while Riccardo De Simon was named the KAP7 WCC Newcomer of the Week. These are Santa Clara's third and fourth Conference weekly awards this season.  
 
KAP7 WCC MEN'S WATER POLO PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ZACH FALES, SR. – SANTA CLARA
Zach Fales scored seven goals, secured five steals and tallied two assists in two WCC road games, including powering Santa Clara to a 13-9 win over No. 17 LMU. Fales scored six goals against the Lions, his second-most in a game this season. He scored all four of the Broncos' goals in the first period to put them ahead, 4-2, early. Fales also scored a goal with two assists at No. 9 Pepperdine. This is Fales first Conference weekly award this season.

KAP7 WCC MEN'S WATER POLO NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – RICCARDO DE SIMON, FR. – SANTA CLARA
Riccardo De Simon scored five goals and tallied three assists in two WCC road games while helping Santa Clara beat No. 17 LMU. De Simon scored four goals against the Lions -- all in the second period -- to push the Broncos' lead to 10-4 at halftime, as SCU went on to beat the Lions, 13-9. De Simon also produced a goal and two assists on Friday at No. 9 Pepperdine. This is the third time this season that he has won KAP7 WCC Men's Water Polo Newcomer of the Week.
