SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Jeremie Cote of Pacific and Mattin Sarhaddi from San Jose State are the final KAP7 WCC Men's Water Polo weekly award winners of the 2024 season, the Conference announced on Tuesday. A pair of first-time recipients of weekly honors from the WCC, Cote was named KAP7 WCC Player of the Week while Sarhaddi was tabbed KAP7 WCC Newcomer of the Week.
KAP7 WCC MEN'S WATER POLO PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JEREMIE COTE, SR. – PACIFIC
On his senior day, Jeremie Cote registered four goals to help the No. 5 Tigers defeat No. 9 Pepperdine 14-8 to secure the West Coast Conference regular season championship and top seed in this week’s WCC Tournament. His four goals came on six shots and he also recorded a steal. Cote has scored 10 goals in the last two games as he was coming off a six-goal outing against California Baptist.

KAP7 WCC MEN'S WATER POLO NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – MATTIN SARHADDI, FR. – SAN JOSE STATE
Mattin Sarhaddi played a vital role in the Spartans' two wins over the weekend. In SJSU's 13-12 win over #16 California Baptist, Sarhaddi scored to tie the game at 10 in the fourth period after the Spartans trailed 9-6 just minutes earlier. Sarhaddi followed that up with three goals scored in a 19-9 win over Air Force. Sarhaddi's three goals were tied for the most on the team in the game. In total, Sarhaddi had four goals and drew two exclusions over the weekend.
