Pacific Favored In WCC Men's Water Polo Preseason Poll

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Pacific is once again the West Coast Conference preseason favorite to win the WCC Men's Water Polo Tournament as announced by the Conference on Friday.

The preseason poll and the All-WCC preseason team were selected solely by a vote of the conference’s seven head coaches. Coaches cannot vote for their own team and student-athletes.
 
Pacific led the coaches preseason poll with 35 points and five first-place votes. The Tigers had the most honorees on the All-WCC preseason team with two and enter the 2024 season ranked seventh nationally.
 
San José State finished second in the WCC preseason poll following 30 points, one first-place vote, and winning the WCC tournament last year. The Spartans rank ninth in the country.

Air Force, California Baptist, LMU, Pepperdine, and San José State each had one player selected to the All-WCC preseason team.

Preseason honorees Tommaso Baldineti of LMU, Tom Leggett from Air Force, and Caleb Teroaka of California Baptist were All-WCC First Team selections last season.
 
The 2024 WCC Men’s Water Polo Tournament will be held from Friday, Nov. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 24, and hosted by Pacific at the Chris Kjeldsen Pool at the Douglass M. Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
