SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Tom Leggett from Air Force and Erik Ionescu of Pepperdine are this week's KAP7 WCC Men's Water Polo Players of the Week, announced by the Conference on Tuesday. Leggett was named KAP7 WCC Player of the Week, while Ionescu earned KAP7 WCC Newcomer of the Week honors for the second time this season.
 
KAP7 WCC MEN'S WATER POLO PLAYER OF THE WEEK – TOM LEGGETT, SO. – AIR FORCE
Tom Leggett put on an offensive clinic this past weekend with 31 goals and six assists for 37 points across 6 games as Air Force went 4-2 at the Rare Air Challenge. More than half (19) of his goals scored came in the final day. Leggett netted five goals against No. 17 Navy, five goals in the Falcons' win over Biola, seven goals in the win over Cal Lutheran, four goals against Augustana, and eight goals, including a go-ahead goal, in the win over Iona.

KAP7 WCC MEN'S WATER POLO NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – ERIK IONESCU, FR. – PEPPERDINE
Erik Ionescu and Pepperdine went unbeaten last week, as the Waves won five games in three days. Ionescu scored five goals and had seven assists for a total of 12 points. Ionescu had two goals and four assists in the first win over No. 13 UC Santa Barbara on Thursday then followed up with two steals, one drawn exclusion, and one assist in the rematch against UCSB on Saturday.
